Skincare of the Week 20.09.15

Or, welcome to another week of what I plaster onto my ugly mug ;)  I'm still trialling Omorovicza Blue Diamond Eye Cream, and Zelens Intense Defence Antioxidant Serum, though I was thwarted a bit in testing this week through circumstances, as we'll see.  This was Monday's face, and I forgot to photograph the moisturiser ... :sigh: I wasn't made for Mondays.

Tuesday arrived, and I thought I'd try my L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Mist in place of my Bioderma Crealine/Serozinc sprays, and I'll be using this  a couple more times before I form a real opinion.  Aside from that, this was a pretty standard routine for me.  Oil cleanse, acid tone, moisture tone, serum, eye cream and moisturise.

On Wednesday, I "shopped my stash",  and brought out some autumn favourites, the Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Oil, and  B & Tea Balancing Toner,  I do like to change my skincare around with the seasons, and as I have combination-oily skin with sensitivity issues, this is a good combo for my skin with my usual favourites around them.

Then on Wednesday evening a MUA in Harvey Nichols burnt my face with a cleansing foam, and I had to go back into crisis-mode ...

This is my emergency stash, Clarins Extra-Comfort Anti-Pollution Cleansing Cream, and Skin Repair Beauty Concentrate.  Coupled with Darphin Intral Toner and Soothing Cream, these help deal with itchy-burning skin and redness caused by bad product choices.  I added a layer of May Lindstrom The Blue Cocoon, as it was nighttime and I needed a hydration boost.  As the Blue Cocoon is one of the most soothing products I've ever tried, it just made sense.

Thursday morning, my face was a lot less sore, but I wanted to keep with the sensitive products.  I swapped out the usual serum for Zelens Z-22 Absolute Face Oil, which I like very much when my dace is sore, and broke out my Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm, which I always use when I need a treat.

Come Friday, and my skin was well enough to try some new stuff again:

I fancied some rosy skincare, and the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and Pixi Skintreats Rose Oil Blend were a great combination together.  I'm currently trialling ColorFX Foundation Drops and mixed in with the Rose Oil Blend, I was very impressed.  Will be using them with a few other bases and report back.

What's been on your mush this week?
