Skincare of the week 16.08.15

It has been a bit of a quiet week skincare-wise!  My skin has recovered from its reaction last week, so I've been re-introducing acids and exfoliation slowly back into the routine.  First acid toner to come back was the oh-so-gentle, but much beloved Clarins Gentle Exfoliator, which was really the product that got me properly into acid exfoliation.  The acids are buffered with glycerin and other soothing ingredients so even sensitive skin can use this one a couple of times a week.  I will happily use it every day, but I am hardcore*.


 

I do love mixing up the high end and the high-street in my routines though.  Indeed Labs Fillume is a great basic moisturiser that lives a fab base for makeup.  I haven't noticed any particular "volumising effects" from it though, I must admit.

Had the flat to myself this week, so covered my ugly mug in beautiful roses from the prettiest pot of product that I have.  This is Fresh's Rose Face Mask, and it smells divine.

And if you want real hardcore acid exfoliation then you need (and I do mean need) Alpha H Liquid Gold.  A quick cleanse, and a quick swipe over with Liquid Gold and presto! Fresh new skin in the morning.  No routines are easier or more luxurious ...
